MacAdam “Mac” Glinn is a proud husband, father and has been a Miami Shores resident for more than ten years. Today, Mac serves as Senior Vice President and National Aviation Director for Skanska USA Building, overseeing Skanska’s aviation construction group in North America, helping manage on-going building projects at five different airports across the country.
Prior to rejoining Skanska four years ago, Mac held a variety of positions professionally. For Mac, his deep interest in public service and commitment to community values began in his early twenties when he served in two key roles for two influential South Florida political leaders. He had the great opportunity to serve as Legislative Assistant for then-State Senator Debbie Wasserman Schultz, followed by a role as Senior Policy Advisor and Press Secretary for Congressman Peter Deutsch. Mac also is proud of his work as Government Affairs Director for the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
Mac has also written extensively about key issues and had several articles published in notable academic journals, including one on Florida public construction procurement for the Real Estate Finance Journal, and others in the Florida Bar Journal and the Florida Real Estate Journal on Florida’s renewable energy finance legislation.
Recently Mac was chosen as the 2013 recipient of the Torch Award for the Florida International University College of Law, the highest honor that can be bestowed on an alumnus. In 2012, Engineering News and Record (ENR) Southeast also named Mac as one of the Top 20 Under 40 emerging leaders in construction and engineering. The CF Foundation honored him as one of the 40 Outstanding Lawyers Under 40. Mac is a former president of the FIU College of Law Alumni Association, and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council.
Mac is a 2007 graduate of Florida International University’s College of Law in Miami, FL and a 1998 graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, OH.
